Bicycling
The hills in central PA are rolling and moderate, to most cyclists we’ve queried about this. The terrain is not flat, by anyone’s definition. Come and try the roads -- then let us know what you think. Central PA is superb for bicycling, as the country roads are lightly traveled, and drivers are used to sharing the roads with Amish buggies and bikes.
The Mountain Bike Map of Central Pennsylvania's Bald Eagle State Forest shows 140 miles of peaceful forestry road and 97 miles of bikeable trail from easy to advanced. Other bicycling trails are available upon request by e-mailing info@VisitCentralPA.org.
